LEON (SPY) BRINKMANN IS THE LEAD MAPPER for STRIDERMOUNTAIN ,

Hello, my name is Leon (SPY-maps) Brinkmann, I'm 45 years old and live in the Netherlands Europe. I consider myself a hardcore SP fps gamer, personaly don't like MP gaming at all (although i do like to go ones in a while on line to race against others in race games like Dirt and Grid.)
it all started about 8 years ago, i never will forget that i bought Duke Nukem 3D, played it and said to my brother that it wouldn't surprice me if in a few years people whould be able to make there own games with some kind of game editor. My brother laughed and showed me that this was allready the case.
On the Duke Nukem cd they had added the Building Engine, the editor of DN3D. It took me a few days to get familair with it, (you need to use DOS to get it working, lol). And from that time on you could say i am very adicted to (sp-)mapping. Day and night i mapped like my life was
depending on it, couldn't simply stop. To be able to create my own world was something i simply didn't dare to dream of, and now it was suddenly possible. All my life i have made realistic cartoon books and small animation movies, and it was all great, but also 2D. And mapping gave me the possibility of creation worlds in '3D'.
Years went by and the games became better and better, and with it changed the editors. From really simply ones like the Building Engine into complicated ones like the Fear engine. Some editors needs you to script events yourself like the Mohaa and Cod version GTKRadiant editors, and some make it all work for you with a simple press of a button, like the incredeble Doom3 and Quake4 editors. Over the years i mapped with severel games, such as Duke Nukem, Quake2, Medal of Honor, Call of Duty 1,2 and 4, Soldiers of Fortune2, Doom3, Quake4, Fear, Prey and Half Life2. With some games i made just a few sp-maps, with others i made severel large sp-mappacks and sp-mod with up to 17 large sp levels.
It will have been around 2002 or 2003 that Baltic.Forever and i started working together after we started mailing each other about my Medal of Honor maps. And from that time on we kept working closely together, and that this has been very succesfull proves our load of maps we released through the years. I don't even think there is one other mod team that has produced and released so much work as we did.

With Strider Mountain we did get 2 new mod members, Cube and TB. Cube delivered us the custom models we needed so desperatly and TB took the marketing as task. We worked nearly 3 years in a row, (many hours each day) to get SM finished. And many times we had to delay the release due to severel different issues and problems, i can even imagen that it looked like SM was one of those mods that never would be released. Althoug we knew SM would see daylight ones. And now this time has come. Strider Mountain is avaleble for playing, please enjoy the 17 very large maps and be prepared to fight for your life. Sm is not so much a puzzel HL2 mod as that it is a straight forwards fpshooter, just how i like to game. I'm proud to say that SM is even so large that it will take you around 20 hours to play compleatly. Have fun and should you be interested in our other 2 HL2 sp-mappacks/mods,or any of our other sp-mappacks/mod then please check my own site.
