TB BIGGS IS THE MARKETING MANAGER FOR STRIDERMOUNTAIN

Let the Games Begin! . If it weren't for Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, I may not be here in the gaming world today. Being a big fan of the movies intrigued me enough to buy and try the PC version of LOTR Return of the King - my first big adventure into gaming. After I single handedly restored peace to Middle-Earth, I now knew the world needed more of my help! As Master Chief in Halo, I moved from the 3rd person to first person shooter genre. I played some other games and styles in between until Chronicles of Riddick. Only there was one problem, my PC lacked the horsepower to run it. Perfect excuse to get a new PC, after all, saving the world requires a lot of ram! Riddick remains one of my favorite games of all time and I'm so glad to see that a sequel is finally in the works. And then came Half-Life 2 (yes, I played HL2 before HL ) and everything changed. I'll never forget feeling a let down when I finished HL2, my thoughts were: well what could possibly be next? And then I learned how to install a mod...

Installation of Inspiration!. What's after Half Life 2 - the wonderful world of mods. I learn how to install a mod (yes, all by myself) on my PC and really it was a new installation of inspiration. Some of my favorite HL2 mods include Mistake of Pythagoras , Minerva: Metastasis, Combine Destiny and  Ravenholm. Then, I played Coastline to Atmosphere . This mod inspired me to try my hand at first person shooter level design. I went looking for level design solutions and in the process, would get so much more...

First Person Friendships! I learned that the makers of Coastline to Atmosphere also have a website to help aspiring first person shooter level designers. balticforever-leveldesign (currently sp-mods.com) is where I met Peter "Baltic Forever" and Leon "Spy" Brinkmann. I went looking for education and in that process, over time, have really gained new friendships. The young and incredibly talented cubedude89 was also a fantastic addition to the team. While I'm so proud that we survived the summit of StriderMountain, I'm far more proud of the friendships that fueled our summit. It's been an awesome experience creating the marketing plan and subsequent materials for the mod. Speaking of materials, when we began this mod, I knew absolutely nothing about website developement. So, what you're seeing here is the result of reading a bunch of books and studying many tutorials. I really hope you like STRIDERMOUNTAIN.COM. My plans are to keep working with this team and also provide marketing assistance for my friend Peter and his students over at balticforever-leveldesign.

I'll take the knowledge gained and bring it to our next project. In fact, our next big adventure is already in the works.
I hope you enjoy the entertainment. - TB Biggs
